An afternoon that teaches more than a lecture on values ever will.
Students arrive expecting to feel sorry for somebody. They leave having been taught something — how to play a game properly, what Indore looked like in 1960, why one man left home and how he found his way back. The direction of that afternoon usually surprises the teachers more than the students.
The trust arranges the visit around what your group can actually do. A batch of twenty to forty works best; much larger and it turns into a tour rather than a conversation.
Every student who takes part receives a participation certificate, and the institution receives a letter recording the social outreach hours for its NSS or community service file.

What a visit can include
Pick two or three rather than all four. An hour spent properly on one thing beats four rushed ones.
Kissagoi — stories and life lessons
Residents tell their own stories and students listen. This is the part nobody plans for and everybody remembers.
Digital Saathi
Students teach residents to use a smartphone — video calls, WhatsApp, photographs, the bank app. The one skill young people can teach and elders genuinely want.
A performance
Singing, a poem, a dance, a short play. Prepared beforehand and performed in the hall.
Ashram seva
Serving the meal, tidying the garden, helping in the kitchen. Hands, not just presence.
